Joseph Joseph wins Chop2Pot infringement case
Joseph Joseph has won an infringement battle with a retail chain over its award-winning Chop2Pot product.
Chop2Pot: 99p Stores will remove all infringing products
The company successfully enforced its intellectual property rights in the Chop2Pot design against 99p Stores Ltd.
Upon contacting 99p Stores, the chain agreed to remove all infringing products from sale, and a settlement was agreed between the parties to compensate Joseph Joseph for loss of profit and payment of legal fees.
The Chop2Pot folding chopping board was launched almost three years ago, and won Gift of the Year in the Cooking and Dining category in 2006.
99p Stores was set up in 2001 and aims to double its number of stores to 120 by next year.

Are you saying this is the same item that William Levene sold? As for bringing it up to date all you have done is give it different colours. I still have a William Levene item and it is identical. It must be 17 years since the introduction of the William Levene item. Does that mean there is no copyright left on this item?

Joseph Joseph worked very closely with the original and only inventor of chop2pot, Mr. Mark Sanders to bring the updated design to market.
Mr. Sanders owns all IP and copyright on this product and Joseph Joseph have exclusive global manufacturing and marketing rights to chop2pot.
Mr. Sanders has legally authorised Joseph Joseph to act on his behalf regarding any IP or copyright infringement matters which Joseph Joseph takes very seriously.

Many years ago William Levene sold the identical item. I do not understand how Joseph Joseph said they designed this.
