What they say...Lots of recipes tell you to grind spices in a Pestle and Mortar, but most are either expensive or huge. We really like this clever 2-in-1 design, though its ceramic bowls are unglazed to give a good grip, its dishwasher safe plus its fairly small so doesn't take up much space. Cleverst of all, turn over the larger 10cm diameter bowl and you get a 5cm bow in the base perfect for smaller amounts.

This contemporary styled pestle and mortar, provides not one, but two receptacles for grinding making it a very useful kitchen tool for grinding and mixing various herbs and spices. The larger main bowl (10cm diameter) is perfect for crushing and grinding large quantities of ingredients, or even several at once, alternatively turn the device over, and grind smaller amounts of herbs and spices in the smaller 5cm diameter mortar.     The white ceramic mortar is robust and will make light work of grinding herbs when combined with the wooden pestle.


(The mortar can be stored dust free by turning the broad side down and placing the pestle upright in the small mortar base)
