Asda launches frozen Pimm’s mix

Asda has launched a frozen version of the fruity cocktail Pimm’s.

Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix contains frozen cucumber, strawberries, spiced orange peel and mint, mixed with lemonade and a dash of Pimm’s.

The supermarket chain said: ‘With the nation set for sun, this ready-made frozen kit ensures less time spent chopping cucumbers and slicing strawberries, with the mix ready-to-go straight from the freezer.

‘With Brits spending an average of £12 a jug when making homemade Pimm’s (thanks to the cost of summer fruits, alcohol and lemonade needed to fill a 1.5L jug) this frozen mix is 85% cheaper, making it perfect for sipping throughout summer without a cocktail bar price tag.’

Asda frozen fruit product manager Sarah Sharples commented: “When it comes to summer, our customers want products that allow them time to soak-up the sun as much as possible. So our new Frozen Summer Cup Mix is the perfect solution for the season. What’s more, Brits don’t have to worry about a watered-down drink, with the fruit replacing the need for ice, keeping glasses fresh, crisp and cool.

“With summer cocktails a must-have on everybody’s lists, we can make any summer occasion easier with our frozen solutions, turning everyday summer essentials into accessible, no-fuss fun.”

Asda’s Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix is available in-store and online now for £1.75 with the price currently rolled back to £1.60.
