Autumn Fair to launch Cook Live! kitchen and demos

A large, working kitchen at this year’s Autumn Fair promises to be one of the most exciting introductions to the home and gift calendar in recent years, say the organisers.
Cook Live!, in the Kitchen & Dining sector in Hall 2, will showcase new products being offered by exhibitors, with live demonstrations of their uses and benefits throughout the fair.

Cook Live! – which will also be a feature of Spring Fair International 2010 – is expected to attract such large audiences that an overhead mirror and audiovisual equipment will be installed for those retailers unable to find seats in front of the kitchen.

Says Roz McGuinness, the show’s sales director: “Autumn Fair continues to be the biggest selling opportunity of the season for kitchen and dining exhibitors, and Cook Live! should further boost their sales.

“And having seen professional demonstrators in the kitchen, bringing the best out of the products being sold at the show, independent retailers will be able to educate staff to sell them with confidence when they return to their cookshops.”

Cook Live! will be a rolling feature of Autumn Fair throughout the four days, and admission will be free.

Companies making their debut at Autumn Fair include French supplier Virojanglor, Dartington Crystal, Arc International and Taylor’s Eye Witness, and pre-registration is already 70% up on last year.

The show takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from September 6 to 9.
