Cookware is amongst items that people buy in sales but never use – and which tot up to over £85 a head.

According to a new survey by insurance company Sheilas’ Wheels, 54% of people will be shopping in this year’s post-Christmas sales. However, the average person will fork out £85.60 in total this year on purchases they will not use.
Bargain hunters mostly waste money on clothes and shoes they never wear, followed by DVDs, CDs and books. However, 19% buy electrical items and 15% cookware that remains unused.
