BHETA shortlisted in Trade Association Forum awards

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has been shortlisted in the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2018.

TAF has been encouraging the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations, and promoting the role of effective trade associations to government, industry and the wider public, since its formation in 1997,

The Forum’s annual awards event, which is formally supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, recognises, rewards and promotes best practice amongst trade associations in the UK – and is a chance for members to showcase their achievements during the previous 12 months.

BHETA’s inaugural National Home Improvement Week (2017) consumer engagement campaign has been shortlisted in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 10 at the Draper’s Hall in London.

BHETA home improvement sector director, Paul Grinsell commented: “National Home Improvement Week’s primary purpose was to renew consumer interest in improving homes and gardens by extension, renovation or refurbishment – through decorating, makeovers, ‘old school’ DIY and gardening as a hobby, to lifestyle home and garden trends.

“The campaign also addressed the generational skills gap, targeting Millennials with social media-fuelled enthusiasm for a new style of DIY, upcycling and craft.

“It’s a great honour to be acknowledged amongst our peers and it’s great to be recognised for the level of added value we give to our membership. It’s also fantastic for the whole team to have its success recognised in this way.”
