TV presenter and food presenter Mary Berry is back for a brand new BBC One show.
With the working title of ‘Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking’, the six-part, half-hour series is currently in production and due for transmission in 2019.
The broadcaster said the show ‘follows Mary as she explores some of the most exciting places that have mastered or inspired the very best of speedy cooking. This adventure takes her abroad to cities she’s never visited before, along with places closer to home that we don’t normally have access to. Entwined in these travels is Mary cooking some of her most delicious quick recipes, that take no time at all – some in a kitchen and some perched on rooftops, in food trucks or tiny cafe kitchens.
‘From Marrakech’s medinas and the cobbled back streets of Rome, to the buzzing West End of London with its fiery China Town kitchens and the festival foodies of Camp Bestival, Mary will experience the flavours, spices, speed and excitement of cuisines that have inspired some of her best quick recipes.’
Mary commented: “Being in a rush will never be a problem again. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen, I can show you a world of delicious, quick dishes to tempt any taste buds.”
‘Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking’ follows Mary’s previous four BBC series: ‘Mary Berry’s Absolute Favourites’, ‘Mary Berry’s Foolproof Cooking’, ‘Mary Berry Everyday’ and ‘Classic Mary Berry’. Alongside this latest series, BBC Books will be publishing the brand new ‘Mary Berry’s Quick Cooking’ book, which contains more than 100 recipes.
