Breville company in £51.5m management buyout

Owner of the Breville brand, Pulse Home Products, has been the subject of a management buyout from parent Alba.

Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners and Nicky Clarke haircare products are also amongst household brands of Manchester-based Pulse, which employs 225 people. Last year the company had a turnover of £118m. The £51.5m deal was financed by private equity firm Rutland Partners.

Alba said the sale would allow it to concentrate on its audio-visual brands Grundig, Bush and Alba.
