To celebrate this year’s Movember, pottery firm Burleigh is launching the Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mug and donating 10% of the proceeds of sales to The Movember Foundation.
For this week only (November 17–21), Burleigh has launched the Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club pop-up at 26 Greek Street in London. Described as ‘the one-stop shop for the modern moustached man,’ services on offer at the pop-up include a wet shave from the in-house barber, a photo opportunity, and shoe shining. Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mugs will also be on sale. All proceeds from the pop-up services will go to The Movember Foundation: the global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health.
According to Burleigh, ‘Moustache Mugs’ used to be ‘the secret weapon of the Edwardian man who didn’t let a cup of tea dampen his bristles or a cheeky beer droop his ’tache. The cups featured a special ‘guard’ to stop liquid dampening whiskers. Burleigh has taken this Edwardian classic and reinvented it for the modern gentleman, by transforming the plain ‘guard’ into a quirky ‘moustache’.”
The Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mug retails at £25 and is presented in a gift box. It is available to purchase at www.burleigh.co.uk .
Established in Stoke on Trent in 1851 and world famous for its blue and white ceramics which are hand-made in England using traditional techniques. Burleigh’s bestselling ‘Asiatic Pheasants’ design has been made in the same way since 1862.
