Burton McCall appoints new managing director

Michelle Dickinson has been promoted from director of marketing to managing director of housewares distributor Burton McCall.

She succeeds Mike Edwards, who has been at the helm for the past two years and will join the Bollin Group as business development director. The changeover takes effect today (January 4).

Michelle commented: “I’m both delighted and excited to have the opportunity to lead this team of talented people in such a great business. Having been part of the Burton McCall management team for some time, the transition will be seamless.” 

She added: “The marketplace is continuing to change and evolve and our team of professional industry experts will be the key to continued growth and remaining a partner of choice to our key customers.”

Stephen Cann, chairman of Burton McCall, said: “We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Michelle as managing director. She has been a valuable member of the management team for some time, and I’m looking forward to working with her to take Burton McCall to its next stage of growth.”

Bollin Group is the owner and distributor of premium brands.  Owned brands include Mountain Equipment, Sprayway, Ron Hill, Hilly, Bridgedale socks, Go System Gas and Trekmates, while Burton McCall distributes further premium brands including Victorinox, Camelbak, Stanley, Jetboil, Maglite and SatMap, Aladdin, Peugeot, Packit, Bamix, Victorinox, Mondaine, Wenger and Luminox.
