Homewares retailer Cargo has opened its first store in a Blooms Garden Centre.

Cargo enters concession partnership with Blooms Garden Centre

The Solihull opening, which is Cargo’s first foray into a concession agreement with the garden centre chain, sees it occupy over 4,000sq ft within this busy centre on Kenilworth Road near Hampton in Arden.

Cargo says the offer will include kitchenware through to bathroom accessories, storage solutions, lighting, picture frames, gift ideas, tableware and cushions and textiles.

Cargo has recruited seven staff for the new concession, which has opened in time for the Easter weekend.

Commenting on the move, Cargo managing director, Clive Gilbert, said: “We have, for some time, wanted to bring the Cargo experience to the area, and this opportunity allows us to reach more customers and give visitors to Blooms access to the Cargo experience.

“I’m convinced that the synergy between both businesses is absolutely right, and very much hope that this is just the beginning of a strong partnership going forward.”
