Charles Viancin launches ‘retailer of the month’ awards

Housewares supplier Charles Viancin has introduced a ‘retailer of the month’ awards programme with the focus on social media activity.

Individual retailers will be judged on how well they interact with customers online and on social media.

Peter Battersby, head of Charles Viancin UK operations, commented: “We see the value in social media and its benefits within the retail industry. We want to encourage our retailers to discover the benefits of using social media and interacting with customers online”.

For six months, starting from this month and running through to October, the Charles Viancin sales team will by area select a winner in each individual region. The winners will be presented with prizes and be announced on both the Charles Viancin UK Facebook and Twitter pages.

This month’s winner, chosen by sales agent Kevin Towler for the London and South East area, is Steamer Trading Cookshop of Horsham in West Sussex.

Store manager John Bowles said: “In my 25 years of working in housewares, I have seldom seen such a successful launch of a new brand as Charles Viancin.

“We have maintained their range in our prime spot in the store because they just keep on selling. Our customers and staff love the product because it is so versatile. They come back for more, and buy them as gifts for their friends.”

Winners will later be announced in Scotland, North England, the West Country, East Anglia and the Midlands areas.

Charles Viancin specialises in kitchen accessories. The silicone lid is the flagship of its range. Working on a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and materials including: stainless steel, glass, plastic, ceramic, and even wood, the lid essentially acts as a large suction cup which creates an airtight seal that insulates both hot and cold foods, deters pests, and preserves freshness and flavour. Designs cover a range of dishes including: pots, pans, casserole dishes, and various kinds of bowls. The company also supplies drinks covers, bottle stoppers and more.
