Family-owned retailer Charlies Stores is set to open a new store in Cheltenham; the new will open in October 2025 and is the ninth store in the retailer’s portfolio.

Its new store will be located in the former Homebase store on Tewkesbury Road and will store brands including: Stihl, Barbour, Le Chameau, Ariat, and Le Creuset, just to name a few.

“We’re incredibly proud to be bringing Charlies to Cheltenham,” said Becky Lloyd, Managing Director.

“We’re passionate about creating a shopping experience that’s welcoming, helpful and full of great products for everyday life. This expansion is a significant step for us, and we hope this new location becomes a favourite for locals.”

Charlie Stores also stated that this will bring over 50 new jobs to the Cheltenham area.

The retailer opened its first store back in 1986, starting with two army surplus stores in Mid-Wales.
