Chemical-hazard glasses are withdrawn

A set of decorated glasses has been withdrawn from the market because of the dangerous chemicals used in their manufacture.

Chemical-hazard glasses are withdrawn

The 40ml glasses are made in the Czech Republic and carry the name Torino Cherry but are unbranded and carry no model number. They are made of clear glass decorated with cherries, green stems and leaf and are sold in sets of six.

The products pose a chemical hazard because of excessive levels of lead and cadmium in the cherry decoration, and are not food-safe.
