Hitchen cookshop Colanders has launched a new e-commerce website which it says offers a choice of kitchenware that compares with that of any major department store or other leading site.

The site,, supersedes, and offers a number of new features including larger product images, detailed prices and easy-to-use information buttons so the customer can read all about the products in detail.

There is also a new function within the checkout basket which now clearly displays images of the items purchased and calculates the value of the spend.

A new search engine helps the customer find the exact products they are looking for, and there are also boxes for latest and seasonal products plus a blog and newsletter.

David Eggison, owner and managing director of, said: “It’s taken a year or so to get the new website to exactly how we want it and we believe the result is one that the customer will really like.

“We all realise how important the web is to our businesses these days and therefore you can’t afford to be promoting a site that doesn’t offer the latest and most efficient buying features.”

“We currently have over 5,500 listed product items and pride ourselves on offering everything on our site from tiny bottle brushes to commercial coffee machines.”
