Consumer Brands, the licensee of Morphy Richards, is relocating its headquarters to Whittle Court in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, following a six-figure investment in the refurbishment of the building. The move will accommodate the company’s sales, marketing, and customer service teams.

The company, which became the official Morphy Richards licensee in August 2023, is currently based at Smithfield Works in Hanley. It also operates a warehouse and distribution centre in Chesterfield and a testing site in Leeds. The relocation marks an ongoing commitment to Stoke-on-Trent and will lead to local recruitment.

Managing Director, Rob Wileman, said: “We are keen to stay within Stoke-on-Trent. The quality of staff that we have in the city is excellent, and we didn’t want to lose them by moving away. The city also represents great value for money.”

Some employees from Chesterfield and Leeds will transfer to the new headquarters, which is set to open in April. Consumer Brands aims to expand its workforce from 31 to 53 this year.

Consumer Brands will occupy 7,400 sq ft of space previously used by social housing provider Brighter Futures. The units were sold by property firm Sandyford Properties to the NLC Group of Companies, which includes Consumer Brands.
