Pyrex National Baking Week will take place from October 13-19, celebrating ‘all that is great about sharing some homemade family time’ through baking.

Housewares supplier Pyrex founded National Baking Week back in 2007 with like-minded baking brands. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to bake at home.
To celebrate National Baking Week this year, Pyrex is running a daily competition on the event’s website to win a variety of prizes, from prepware and bakeware to glassware and ceramics.
Pyrex has also partnered with Cathryn Dresser, a contestant in the 2012 series of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ and author of ‘Let’s Bake’, who has produced five exclusive recipes for the event: zesty chocolate biscuits, scrumptious sweet buns, gluten-free cherry bakewell cake, Italian cheese scone loaf and millionaire’s mud pie.
The company is also encouraging consumers to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity by holding a bake sale at home, work or in their local community group, during National Baking Week. There is a downloadable pack for organising a bake sale, including bunting, posters and price tickets, on www.bakeitbetter.org.
