Glassware supplier Dartington was a finalist in the Visitor Attraction of the Year category of this year’s Visit Devon Tourism Award.

Based in Torrington, North Devon, Dartington is the UK’s last surviving volume glass manufacturer. Some 200,000 people visit the company each year to learn about its 40-year history and to see Dartington’s master engraver and glass blowers at work.
Visitors are also invited to try a range of activities, including hand casting, glass blowing and jewellery making.
Pictured with the award are, from left, restaurant manager Alison Downton, visitor centre and retail manager Sue French, glass shop manager Debbie Stevens and visitor centre supervisor Ellie Vanstone.
