Date set for next BHETA credit forum

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) will hold its next Credit Forum on March 24.

The event, which will be hosted by Let’s Talk Credit, Experian and AON Credit Insurance Brokers, opens at 9.30 am and closes at 2pm and includes refreshments and a buffet lunch.

BHETA Credit Forums are open to credit control and finance professionals and include updates on all current credit and risk management issues in the retail sector.

The agenda will cover the trading climate, specific retail accounts and how they are performing against trading terms; topical issues such as corporate purchases and reinvestment; as well as a general overview of the retail sector.

BHETA chief operating officer Will Jones commented: “In the current financial climate, many businesses need help managing their credit risk. Our Forum brings together industry experts and members to gain a shared understanding of current market and customer challenges, with the objective of finding effective solutions. The turnout for these events just rises all the time and the atmosphere is always friendly, collaborative and positive.”

In addition to round table discussions and updates, this event will include a presentation entitled ‘What’s in Store for the Retail Sector in 2020 and beyond?’ from credit insurance underwriter Euler Hermes. Attendees are also invited to submit their own topics for discussion to brent.cumming@letstalkcredit.co.uk by March 13.

BHETA members who have not previously attended a Credit Forum are invited free of charge on the first occasion, while full Credit Forum membership costs £350 per annum for three sessions.

Richard Booker, director of Creative Products, said: “BHETA Credit Forums are extremely informative. It’s helpful to discuss issues around supplier payments and, as a business that is continuing to grow, the relaxed atmosphere and openness of discussion is very valuable.”
