De’Longhi gets serious about coffee with new website

De’Longhi UK is underlining its position as a leading player in the domestic coffee machine market with the launch of a new website, seriousaboutcoffee.com.
The website educates consumers about different types of coffee machines and is interactive, allowing users to explore in 3D the coffee-making process from bean to cup. It also provides information on the history and heritage of the coffee bean and downloadable coffee-inspired recipes.

According to De’Longhi UK marketing manager Giovanni Toffano seriousaboutcoffee.com has been launched on the back of growing UK sales, increasing consumer interest in coffee culture and boosted demand for premium machines.

“The UK has traditionally been regarded as a tea-drinking nation,” he says, “but the last 10 years has seen an explosion in coffee culture with sales of coffee machines more than doubling in the last five years.

“However, our research is showing that while there is an increasing interest in coffee machines consumers are confused about which machines are best for them. The aim of our new website is to help combat the confusion by providing information and an enjoyable online experience.”

De’Longhi is currently the second largest brand in Europe in espresso coffee machines.
