Debenhams appoints non-executive director

Department store group Debenhams has appointed Lisa Myers as a non-executive director.

Lisa’s career background includes 19 years at Franklin Templeton, where she was an executive vice-president and lead portfolio manager of some of Templeton’s flagship global funds, managing or co-managing more than $10bn worth of assets.

As the co-ordinator of Templeton’s global consumer research, Lisa had direct research responsibility for the retail, textile and apparel and luxury goods sectors.

Most recently she was co-head of Global Partnership Investing at BTG Pactual, a global asset management strategy.

Sir Ian Cheshire, chairman of Debenhams, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lisa Myers to Debenhams. She has had a long and distinguished career in fund management and her extensive knowledge of international retail will be a great addition to the board.”
