Renowned British pottery manufacturer Denby has said it has been given an additional 10 days to appoint administrators.
The Derbyshire-based manufacturer confirmed it filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on 11 March 2026, having now expanded the initial 10 day deadline to April 8.
When speaking to the BBC, Denby CEO, Sebastian Lazell, said he was “trying to move heaven and earth” to save the business, but added that there may not “be a happy ending”.
The business continues to trade, seeking new investment or restructuring as the #SaveDenby campaign has gained significant traction across social media and the wider public.
Housewares Magazine is in full support of the #SaveDenby campaign. Protecting businesses like Denby is about safeguarding the craft, creativity and skilled artistry that define the UK’s home and housewares sector.
