Denby tableware swap helps charities

Denby has been running an old-for-new tableware initiative to raise money for charity.
The promotion ran throughout November at all 12 of Denby’s factory shops nationwide, excluding those at Boundary Mill stores. Each shop selected a favourite charity: people could then take their old pieces of tableware into the chosen charity shop and receive a discount on new tableware from their local Denby factory outlet.

Derek Hodgson, manager of the factory shop in Denby, told HousewaresLive.net: “People can bring any pottery back – it doesn’t have to be Denby. With each piece you get £2 off a new Denby item in the shop, firsts or seconds.

“The most popular range at the moment is Jet, and a new one, Truffles, which is very, very popular.”

Denby organises the initiative every year at around the same time.
