Dexam has celebrated the success of its long-running partnership with  The Bumblebee Conservation Trust, which has helped fund vital conservation work across Britain over the past six years.

Royalties from sales of Dexam’s Bees Knees collection, which included textiles, storage and mango wood products, generated nearly £5,000 in donations for the charity during the collaboration.

Although the licensing partnership has now come to an end, the Bumblebee Conservation Trust has thanked Dexam and its customers for supporting a range of impactful environmental projects.

Tessa from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust said: “It has been bee-rilliant to work with Dexam over the last six years, for which we are tremendously grateful. Dexam have helped us to carry out vital project work across Britain.”

Among the highlights was a record survey count in 2025 for the shrill carder bee, England’s rarest bumblebee species. In areas including Kent, Essex and South Wales, where the species can still be found, it became the fourth most frequently recorded species thanks to extensive conservation efforts involving local communities and authorities.

The charity also highlighted the success of Pollinating the Peak, which was named National Lottery Project of the Year in 2021 and continues to deliver long-term environmental benefits. The scarce bilberry bumblebee also recorded its best-ever year.

The Trust said Dexam’s support had enabled it to “bee bolder” in campaigning for environmental change and influencing policy-making at local, regional and national level.

It added that both Scotland and Wales have since introduced important new laws aimed at protecting wildlife and supporting nature recovery.

Dexam said it was “incredibly pleased” to have supported the charity’s work through the Bees Knees range and thanked customers for helping make the partnership possible.
