Dexam has revealed it has donated reusable water battles to Stonepillow, supplied in collaboration with Sistema, alongside cartons of seconds stock to help support the charity’s vital work across West Sussex.
Founded in 1989, Stonepillow has long been a lifeline for people experiencing homelessness, hardship and crisis throughout the Chichester and Arun districts. Through its day hubs in Chichester and Bognor Regis, the charity provides practical support, comfort and opportunity to hundreds of vulnerable people every year.
As part of the donation, Dexam supplied reusable water bottles to help those accessing the hubs stay hydrated and better manage day-to-day wellbeing. Something as simple as having a reliable water bottle can make a genuine difference.
“Having a water bottle (when you’re homeless) actually matters a lot — it means you can drink water when you need it, take care of yourself a bit better, and even taking medication is easier too,” said Jenny from Stone Pillow.
In addition, Dexam donated six cartons of seconds stock for use within the hubs and to help raise funds for ongoing support services.
Stonepillow operate two days hubs, Bognor and Chichester, which are an essential community resource where members of the community can get clean and warm, have food, wash and dry your clothes. Simple things that are out of reach, like charging a phone, using a computer, getting a haircut, seeing a doctor, are made possible through the hubs. Beyond this immediate support, the hubs help people find dignity, safety, connection and hope.
Last year alone, 740 people accessed the hubs, with a total of 11,688 visits recorded across the two locations. The hubs now require £367,000 in funding to remain operational during 2026/27.
Dexam said it is delighted to play a small part in supporting the outstanding work carried out by Stonepillow and the dedicated team behind it.
