Dulux is predicting that this intense botanical green will be the next big thing in interior trends for spring/summer 2011.
The paint company says that its colour, Forest Falls, takes its inspiration from the natural world, and taps into the wider decor trend for botanic references.
Early adopters of the trend include fashion designers Missoni and Paul Smith, who incorporated intricate floral patterns and natural greens into their spring/summer collections last year. And autumn/winter 2010 saw more leading designers feature this colour in their shows.
Now, says Dulux, interiors are poised to embrace shades of the colour, of which it offers six – from a bold Perspex or gel-style green to subtler shades which create natural-feeling environments that blur the boundaries between internal and external space.
