Housewares distributor Eddingtons has announced the launch of a new licensed homewares and gifting range based upon the well-known children’s storybook character Paddington Bear, created by Michael Bond.
The range is focused around three key areas: Paddington ‘on the move’, ‘at breakfast’ and ‘baking accessories’.
Eddingtons commercial director Richard Walker said: “We are delighted to have secured this partnership, which will bring the broad appeal of this established heritage icon to homewares and gifting.
“Practical homeware solutions have been developed into stylish and desirable products designed to delight our core customer but which will, in turn, also appeal to fans and followers of the traditional Paddington Bear character widely featured in books, film and soon to be relaunched TV shows [A new Paddington series from StudioCanal will air on the Nickelodeon channel in 2020].
“The new range is centred around the original Peggy Fortnum illustrations of Paddington which have now been applied to some of our best-selling lines. We have also created some exclusive additions with new baking sets and kitchen textiles, and developed exclusive prints – further enhancing our sustainable travel and snack storage solutions from our partner brands, Bees Wrap and Full Circle.”
The range will be previewed at the Spring Fair and will be in stock from March 2020.
