The title of Best Display Stand went to Eddingtons at last week’s Home Hardware Spring Trade Show in Exeter.

But Eddingtons’ stand staff – marketing manager Sonia Spencer and sales manager southwest Dave Gosling – put on a pretty good display themselves, sporting cheeky novelty aprons all day.
Spencer and Gosling won a cash prize of £100 and a framed certificate for their top stand, while Apollo received the runners-up prize of £50.
Said Home Hardware chairman David Adams: “As well as wearing the chairman’s hat today, I’m also attending the show as a retailer. I’m attracted to well-merchandised, well-lit displays, so I’m keen for suppliers to take pride in their stands. The Eddingtons stand is consistently merchandised to a very high standard and I’m pleased their efforts have been rewarded.”
The show, which hosted 147 exhibitors, also raised £550 in a draw, to be split equally between Cancer Research and the Rainy Day Trust. Winner of the first prize of £100 in cash was Rob Holland, business development manager for Utensa.
