First ever KitchenAid Experience Store set to open in London this week

KitchenAid will open its first official store worldwide in London on Friday (September 2).

The appliance manufacturer has chosen 98 Wigmore Street, in the heart of the capital’s West End, as the location for its global store debut.

David Cairns, channel director kitchen markets of KitchenAid, said: “London is a real hub of creative design – in particular Wigmore Street, which is famed for its expansive kitchen, bathroom and homeware showrooms – so it was the ideal choice.”

Measuring 280sq m over two floors, the KitchenAid Experience Store and Showroom aims to offer ‘an immersive experience’ that will showcase KitchenAid’s complete range, from griddle pans and cookware to stand mixers, hoods, hobs, dishwashers and professional standard multifunction ovens.

A super-sized version of the supplier’s Artisan Stand Mixer will feature in the window of the store and the machine’s full spectrum of colourways will be available to purchase.

The space will also include a fully functioning demonstration kitchen as well as a cookery school, which will entertain a rolling schedule of events for the public.

In addition, the store will house a training facility for team members from authorised stockists to visit and train alongside KitchenAid specialists.

* A feature on the KitchenAid Experience Store appears in the September issue of Housewares Magazine.
