The housewares industry is mourning the loss of Jeremy Horwood, former Sales Director of Horwood Housewares, who passed away on July 24 following a short illness.
Mr Horwood joined the family business, then known as W F Horwood Co Ltd, at the age of 17, working alongside his grandfather William and father David. His brother, Nigel, joined the company a year later.
Starting his career as part of the company’s young sales team, Mr Horwood developed a passion for the housewares industry and its trade exhibitions. He went on to build a successful career with Horwood Housewares, eventually becoming Sales Director.
During his 40 years with the business, Jeremy played a key role in helping establish Horwood Housewares as one of the UK’s leading housewares suppliers. He was widely respected throughout the industry for his professionalism, loyalty and the relationships he built with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Away from work, Mr Horwood also had a keen interest in classic cars, a passion that began during his early years travelling to housewares exhibitions.
Mr Horwood is survived by his wife, Lorraine, daughters Dani, Kelly and Georgia, and his grandchildren.
Housewares Magazine extends its condolences to Jeremy’s family, friends and former colleagues at this difficult time.
