This month’s Gourmet Housewares Show in San Francisco named the finalists and winners in the 2009 Gourmet Golds Awards.
In the Cookware & Bakeware category Minden Grill Company won for its Minden Master Range Top Grill, while Kuhn Rikon and Lodge Manufacturing were finalists.
In Gadgets, Cutlery & Accessories the winner was Inno-Labs for Firewire, with finalists EdgeCraft and New Metro Designs, while the Kitchen Electrics category picked Fissler USA as the winner for its CookStar Induction Pro Portable Cooktop. Finalists were Greystone and Nespresso.
Winner in the Tabletop & Textiles category was Mastrad for its Vegetable Keep Sack: finalists were Calibowl and Coastline Imports.
In Gourmet Gifts & Specialty Foods Highwave won for its Australian Beer Glass, with Zojirushi and Wine Things Unlimited named as finalists.
The Green by Design category picked the winner as Roland Products with Goodbye Detergent! Finalists were Full Circle and Pacific Dry Goods. Finally, Best in Show was Vita-Mix Corporation with its Professional Series 500.
Each entry was scored on quality, innovation, design, product solution and consumer appeal.
Next year’s Gourmet Housewares Show is set for August 7 to 9 in San Francisco.
