A new series starring Hairy Biker Dave Myers kicks off next Monday (July 11) on BBC Two.
In ‘The Hairy Builder’, Dave Myers – who is one half of the hirsute cookery couple The Hairy Bikers alongside Si King – is set to ‘unlock the historical secrets contained in some of Britain’s oldest, most prestigious and architecturally complex large buildings’.
Dave joins a team of specialist historical builders from Britain’s oldest masonry company as an apprentice on various conservation projects. He learns skills with the builders on site, consults with local experts and investigates stories connected to the buildings.
Dave said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to learn some new hands-on skills and unravel the mysteries of some of the greatest buildings in the country’s heritage. I’m very excited and proud to be part of it.”
