Harts of Stur hosted a ticketed culinary experience in its Coffee Loft, featuring renowned chef Lesley Waters and her talented assistant chef for the evening, Steve James. The event took place on October 30.
Ms Waters is widely recognised for her appearances on popular TV cookery shows such as Ready Steady Cook, This Morning, and more recently alongside James Martin on his Saturday morning program. Over the years, her career has evolved to include authoring acclaimed cookbooks and establishing her highly regarded Cookery School in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Joining her was Steve James, a multi-award-winning personal chef serving Somerset and Dorset. A self-taught culinary expert, Mr James honed his skills at Lesley Waters Cookery School and now plays a key role as one of its lead instructors. He specialises in supper clubs and private dining experiences at his Somerset farmhouse and is also a respected recipe developer, with his creations featured in magazines, online publications, and radio shows. Additionally, Mr James collaborates with local photographers as a food stylist.
“The evening was filled with inspiration and flavour, as Lesley shared stories from her career and insights into the origins of the ingredients and how the recipes came to life, while Steve assisted in preparing the stunning array of dishes,” said the retailer.
“Guests enjoyed a delicious tasting menu that included highlights such as Stilton and Blue Vinny Galette, Waldorf Salad with Celeriac and Chicken, and for a sweet finish, Coconut Snowball Meringues.
“It was a truly memorable event enjoyed by all and a fantastic effort from our hard working team, we look forward to hosting many more experiences like this in the future.”
