The Rainy Day Trust has set the date for this year’s Karting Challenge, one of the industry charity’s key fundraising events of the year.
The event will take place at the Speedkarting Arena in Warrington on Sunday May 22.
The annual fundraiser will once again involv day truste 20 teams of three, competing in five heats for the Hardware Trades Charity Trophy, along with a number of other sought-after accolades including the Bent Axle award for the unluckiest driver.
The Karting Challenge has contributed more than £55,000 to the RDT’s coffers over the past 17 years, and to ensure that as much as possible is raised for the charity a number of sponsorship opportunities are open to companies wanting to get involved.
The charity looks after people from the home improvement industry who have fallen on hard times, and relies on donations from individuals and companies from within the industry as well as a number of fundraising events.
The entry fee has been maintained for the third year running at £345 plus VAT (£414), and this covers personal accident insurance. All competing drivers must be over 18. For more information please call trustee David Hibbert on 0161 728 8025.
