Speaking to HousewaresLive.net’s sister site, diyweek.net, BHETA president Andrew Weiss said that Hibbert would be “helping out” with supporting members through key fairs such as Autumn Fair and Ambiente, as she had experience both of BHETA’s Brooke House headquarters and exhibiting at the shows.

“It’s an ideal opportunity to use that experience to offer members support for those two exhibitions,” Weiss said.

He stressed that the appointment was “interim, in capital letters”, and that the recruitment process for a permanent replacement for Plant continued. The association expects to be in the final interview stages in the next couple of weeks.

Hibbert resigned from the BHETA Board last week and has also resigned her role at CAT Enterprises.
