American actress and Oscar winner actress Helen Hunt is due to visit the Geman trade show Ambiente today (Monday, February 16) as Guest of Honour.
USA is the Partner Country for this year’s five-day Ambiente show, which occupies the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre to February 17.The USA is the fourth Ambiente Partner Country, after Denmark, France and Japan.
A highlight at the fair is USA Day, which takes place today. Helen Hunt will take part in a tour of Ambiente and visit selected American and international exhibitors during a tour of the fair. Many US exhibitors will be offering special participatory, testing and tasting events for visitors.
The United States of America is one of Germany’s most important trading partners and more than 100 US companies are showing their latest products to trade visitors at Ambiente 2015.
Ambiente bills itself as the leading international trade fair for products for the table, kitchen and household, gift articles, jewellery, wellness and fashion requisites, as well as decorative products, interior design concepts and furnishing accessories.
This year’s event is being described by the organiser as ‘more international than ever before’ with 4,811 exhibitors from 94 countries presenting products across 328,500sq m: an area equivalent to 46 football pitches.
The entire eastern part of the Exhibition Centre is reserved for the Dining section while the Giving and Living sections share the western part. With these three sections, Ambiente aims to depict the complete spectrum of consumer goods for the table, kitchen and household, as well as giving, the home and furnishing.
Ambiente features an extensive programme of events, promotional activities, trend shows and awards ceremonies.
