Home Bargains has opened a new 13,724 sq ft store in Spalding, Lincolnshire, as part of a £1 million investment that has created 46 new jobs.
Located at Holland Market Retail Park, the new branch welcomed its first customers on 25 July, adding to Home Bargains’ network of more than 600 stores across the UK.
The store offers the retailer’s full mix of homewares, home accessories, furniture, household essentials, toys, toiletries and food, strengthening the retail park’s home and lifestyle offering alongside retailers including B&Q, Pets at Home and Halfords.
Home Bargains said the opening forms part of its continued expansion programme, with the retailer typically launching around 50 new stores each year.
Emelia Mullis, store manager of the new Spalding branch, said: “I’m incredibly excited to be opening our new Home Bargains store in Spalding.
“It’s fantastic to be part of Home Bargains’ continued growth and even more rewarding to create new employment opportunities for local people. My team and I are looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors and becoming part of the Spalding community.”
The new store occupies one of 10 retail units at Holland Market Retail Park, which provides 467 parking spaces and is also home to retailers including Iceland, Shoezone and Poundstretcher.
