Kelly Grant, the event director of summer trade show Home & Gift Buyers’ Festival in the North Yorkshire town of Harrogate, issued a statement yesterday (Thursday March 19) on plans for the 2020 event.
Kelly said: “Home & Gift Harrogate has been a key date in the retail calendar for 60 years, bringing the retail industry together and allowing buyers and brands to meet, share and do business.
“The Home & Gift Show is set to continue as planned on 19-22 July, offering an opportunity to bring the industry back together at a critical time.
“We would like to assure you that the health and safety of our customers, suppliers and staff is paramount. We are closely monitoring the latest public health and government advice and we will keep you updated.
“While COVID-19 presents us with one of the greatest challenges that most of us will have experienced, the retail community is resilient and has a proven ability to adapt to its customer needs. We recognise that this is a very challenging time for most of you and are here to offer as much support as possible.
“The Home & Gift website at https://homeandgift.co.uk/will continue to provide you with the resources and information that you need, with regular blog updates that include inspiring brand stories, exciting new products and expert advice. We wanted to take this opportunity to wish you well and to thank you for your continued support.”
