Home Hardware catalogue cooks up a stir

A record number of 371,000 Cookshop catalogues have been ordered by Home Hardware Southwest retailers.

This equates to an increase of 35% on the previous year, with 35 additional retailers supporting the catalogue this year.

Following a successful launch last year, the publication encourages new and existing customers into stores, by promoting Home Hardware and its members as serious cookshop and housewares retailers.

The 56-page catalogue carries every day in-store prices and unlike other Home Hardware consumer promotions, is not price aggressive. It features a lifestyle format, with product information, cooking and baking tips and recipes.

Home Hardware’s marketing manager Beverley Wood said: “We’re really delighted with the catalogue uptake. It offers a totally different model to our usual brochure design, and retailers have really embraced the concept.”
