Domestic appliance manufacturer Hoover Candy Group has appointed Bobby Watkins as sales and marketing director for SDA (small domestic appliances).
With more than 20 years’ experiences in the consumer electronics and IT industry, he joins from senior sales roles at Sony and Acer, where he spent eight years as general manager and seven years as UK managing director respectively.
Bobby has responsibility for maximising marketing and sales opportunities for Hoover SDA, as well as overseeing the business across all retail channels for the division.
Commenting on his appointment, Bobby said: “This year, Hoover candy celebrates 110 years in business and has an unrivalled reputation, especially when it comes to vacuum cleaners.
“But for me, it’s important that we don’t rest on our laurels. That’s why Hoover Candy’s substantial investment in research and development is crucial, as it allows us to continually provide innovative appliance solutions that exceed customer expectations.”
Hoover recently launched a range of ‘next generation’ cordless stick, upright and handheld vacuums.
