House of Fraser appoints new group chief people officer

House of Fraser has recruited Michelle Maynard as chief people officer, effective from July 4.

Michelle is an experienced HR director with over 25 years of experience in customer-focused organisations including British Airways, Coca-Cola, the AA and Thomas Cook Group. Her most recent post was chief people officer for Aviva France.

Leading the human resources team across the business, Michelle will report directly to chief executive officer Alex Williamson. She will have responsibility for the HR function including internal communications.

House of Fraser is a department store group with 59 locations across the UK and Ireland. The Group has annual sales of £1.3bn and employs 5,000 House of Fraser employees and 12,500 concession staff through over 4 million sq ft of selling space.
