A total of 65 finalists across 13 categories have been revealed by the International Housewares Association (IHA) for its annual IHA Global Innovations Awards (gia) for product design.
More than 500 entries were received and were judged by a panel of industry experts including housewares retailers Ace Hardware, The Chopping Block, The Container Store, The Cook’s Warehouse, Detroit Institute of Art, GC Buying Group, Kitchen Ala Mode, Kitchen Window, Leon & Lulu, National Building Museum, Rolling Pin, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Sign of the Bear, Spoon and Whisk and Target.
IHA president and ceo Phil Brandl said: “Congratulations to all of the finalists for an IHA Global Innovation Award for product design. “Our world-renowned gia program is the ultimate awards event in the industry, honouring excellence in both housewares retail and product design.”

The global honoree of each category will be announced on the first night of the International Home + Housewares Show, which is sponsored by IHA and runs from March 10 to March 13 in Chicago.
The finalists and global honorees will be on display at the exhibition, in the Hall of Global Innovation in the Lakeside Center Lobby. The finalists will also be on display in the New Product Showcases in the Buyers’ Club in each show building.
The fair will feature more than 2,200 exhibitors and is expected to attract 60,000 total attendees. For
