Jeffrey Siegel to address Housewares Conference

Jeffrey is the chairman of the board of directors and the chief executive officer of Lifetime Brands, Inc. He has been in the housewares industry since 1967, when he joined Lifetime Cutlery, the predecessor to Lifetime Brands, as a salesman in the New York metropolitan area. He progressed to become the company’s executive vice president in 1980.

Spearheading the company’s strategic plans for growth through key alliances and acquisitions, Jeffrey has secured Lifetime Brands’ position as a leading global provider of kitchenware, tableware, and other products used in the home.

He said: “I’ve been fully involved in the housewares Industry for almost 50 years. It is an industry that my father loved, I love, and my children love. Besides working to build our business, I’ve spent countless hours working to help other housewares companies to succeed. It’s the reason I served on the board of directors of the IHA [International Housewares Association], eventually becoming chairman. I’m still actively involved in helping the IHA create a marketplace for all in our industry to succeed.

“In 2011 we began investing in UK-based housewares companies, and today almost 25% of our sales are from companies based in the UK. The UK market is one in which we believe very strongly in and hope to continue to grow in.”

Lifetime Brands acquired the business and certain assets of La Cafetière in March 2014, and acquired Thomas Plant (Birmingham) Ltd, which trades as Kitchen Craft, in January 2014. In 2011 it acquired Creative Tops and its Hong Kong operation, Creative Tops Far East.

The Housewares Conference takes place on April 22 at Wokefield Park in Berkshire. For further details, go to or contact event manager Laurie Marrington at
