John Lewis expands Design Project into housewares

Now in its second season, the Design Project range from John Lewis has been expanded to include dinnerware and kitchenware.

The department store group describes Design Project as ‘bringing together the traditional and the new to create an original series of progressive, beautifully designed, functional pieces for the modern home’.

The retailer said its new embossed dinnerware range sits alongside glass, walnut and stone accessories such as diffusers and candles, to bridge the gap between casual and formal dining.

The company continued: ‘The knife range has been designed to the highest standards, with each knife following traditional Samurai sword-making techniques and being perfectly weight balanced for control and precision’.

New furniture additions include an outdoor furniture collection made from rope and acacia wood.

Textiles have also evolved with the introduction of a flat weave rug, textured cushions in ochre, and white jacquard bed linen.
