John Lewis has begun welcoming applications for around 300 new jobs at its department store in Cheltenham, which opens on October 18.
The 115,000sq ft shop, which represents an £23 million investment, will open on the Gloucestershire town’s high street in the old Beechwood shopping centre. It will offer home and technology products along with fashion and services.
Cheltenham will be the 51st shop to join the John Lewis estate and will be run by long-standing staff member Martin Bundy, who has worked for the company for more than 18 years.
The retailer is looking for staff to fill full-time and part-time roles including selling and service assistants, customer support staff, catering assistants and operations assistants. Applicants should apply via www.jlpjobs.com.
John Lewis operates 50 shops across the UK: 36 department stores, 12 John Lewis ‘at home’ stores and shops at St Pancras International and Heathrow Terminal 2, as well as johnlewis.com.
