Kenwood is launching a six-figure Christmas advertising campaign to raise awareness of its key kitchen appliances in the run-up to the festive season.

Kenwood campaign will boost sales pre-Christmas

The campaign, which runs from now through December, comprises display advertising and advertorials in print as well as Kenwood’s first video on demand ad on Channel 4’s 4oD service. The 20-second VOD ad will run around key premium food programmes and Christmas specials.

The print titles selected include national newspapers, supermarket magazines and food and female lifestyle publications, providing Kenwood with approximately 3.7m opportunities to reach consumers.

The print campaign showcases two of Kenwood’s best-selling kitchen machines, the Kenwood Chef and kMix stand mixer. The adverts highlight each machine’s functionality and design. The VOD ad is a bespoke cut of the former television ad that demonstrates the multifunctional Triblade hand blender.

The advertising campaign will run in parallel to the current Kenwood sponsorship deal with Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch programme, which reaches 1.6m weekly viewers and continues until Easter 2013.
