Lakeland opens for business in Dubai

The new store will bring Lakeland’s range of innovative kitchenware, home storage and cleaning solutions to customers in the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on the opening, Lakeland managing director Sam Rayner, said: “We’ve received frequent requests from customers in the Middle East for a Lakeland store, and I’m really pleased that we’ve now been able to bring the Lakeland brand to them”.

The product offer in the 5,000sq ft store is largely the same as that in a typical UK Lakeland outlet.

The Dubai store is the latest in a string of new branches as Lakeland continues to expand its store, catalogue and internet businesses. The company recently opened new stores in Chelmsford, Witney and Belfast, while another new store, Lakeland’s 47th in the UK, will be opening in Kingston upon Thames early in the summer.

While this first store in Dubai is being regarded by the company as a trial, other openings in the Middle East are already being planned.
