Housewares Business-to-business magazine for housewares retailers and their suppliers
Smaller brands and start-ups in the housewares sector are being urged to take advantage of a chance to exhibit at the Spring Fair, courtesy of a joint initiative from BHETA and Bira.
The Pavilion in Hall 8 of the show, which takes place from February 2 to February 6 at the NEC in Birmingham, will host a dedicated space for companies who would not usually exhibit at the event.
BHETA chief operating officer Will Jones explained: “We are making shell scheme spaces available at very special rates to new and innovative suppliers, who are ‘doing something different’ – and there are a few left.”
The Pavilion will feature a range of Bira Direct suppliers, BHETA members and new suppliers to the industry, representing cookshop, housewares and tabletop brands. There will also be a special retailer voucher scheme offering Bira Direct users money back when they buy from suppliers in the Pavilion, while they are at the show.
Will continued: “We are delighted to be working with Bira on this very exciting industry initiative that really does offer smaller and suppliers an excellent opportunity to engage with key retailers. Spring Fair has long been the marketplace for the UK’s home and gift industry and is an essential destination for 56,000 retail professionals.
“The Pavilion will not only give additional suppliers a chance to show their latest product innovations; it will also help retailers differentiate themselves from others on the High Street. Moreover, by having a voucher offer, we are giving an added extra to the Bira Direct buying group users in attendance.”
BHETA and Bira will also have a stand in the Pavilion where representatives from both associations will be on hand to discuss topics facing independent retail and suppliers’ businesses and the ways in which the two trade bodies are working to address them.
