She said her most used gadget is her food processor (“my dough comes out beautifully and my cakes are really light”) and her most treasured utensil is her mum’s rolling pin. She explained: “It is beautiful but I don’t use it very often because I don’t want to break it. I also have her old spice rack that she found in an antique shop. I love collecting vintage teaware and have lots of mismatched plates and cups.”

Lisa, who won ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ in 2010, added that her favourite cookbook is ‘A Year In My Kitchen’ by Skye Gyngell. Lisa is currently riding high in the best sellers book chart with her third title, ‘Tea & Cake with Lisa Faulkner,’ published by Simon & Schuster.

Lisa is hosting the annual Housewares Innovation Awards ceremony, which take place on the evening of April 22 at Selsdon Park in Croydon, Surrey. The ceremony follows The Housewares Conference, which will be held in the same venue during the day.

Awards will be presented to the best housewares products and best housewares retailers of 2014 in an event organised by Housewares Magazine. The accolades will be handed to the lucky winners by globally-acclaimed celebrity chef Ken Hom OBE.
