‘Mary Berry At Home’ tops book chart

‘Mary Berry At Home’ has hit the number one spot in the list of the nation’s top best-selling non-fiction hardbacks.

The book, which was published on February 1, is a collection of Mary’s favourite dishes that she cooks everyday for her family and friends.

Co-authored by Mary’s close friend and assistant, Lucy Young, it features more than 150 simply prepared recipes for lunch, dinner and parties.

The title takes first place for the week ending March 3 in Nielsen Bookscan TCM’s weekly chart, which covers over 90% of all retail book purchases in the UK, based on data collated from over 6,500 outlets.

In fact cookbooks dominate the top 10 list, with five appearing in the next consecutive slots. ‘Delia’s Cakes’ by Delia Smith is at number two; followed by ‘The Hairy Bikers’ Great Curries’ by Si King and Dave Myers at number three; ‘Hummingbird Bakery Home Sweet Home’ by Tarek Malouf at number four; with ‘Jamie’s 15-Minute Meals’ by Jamie Oliver at number five.

‘Paul Hollywood’s Bread’ by the famous artisan baker also appears on the list at number eight, with ‘Honestly Healthy’ by organic gourmet vegetarian cook Natasha Corrett and nutritional therapist Vicki Edgson at number 10.

This list appeared in the March 10 issue of The Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine.
